Now, there’s nothing in way of this fight between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez (59-2-2, 39 KO’s) the undisputed Super-Middleweight champion and Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KO’s) the undisputed Super-Welterweight champion, who is moving up two weight classes to challenge the bigger man in Saturday’s fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Toshiba Plaza bore witness to the weigh-in approved by the camps of both 33 year old fighters, who had no problems to overcome the scale to mark 167.4 pounds in what will be the confrontation for the undisputed super middleweight championship belonging to theMexican. While Canelo is the bigger man fighting at a weight class 14 pounds above Charlo’s super-welterweight division, the lighter man has a four inch height advantage to go along with a three inch longer reach.
Both ‘Canelo’ and Charlo weighed in at a closed door weigh-in before the final pre-bout face-to-face in the presence of a public, who showed its clear support for the Mexican, while booing the super–welterweight champion.
