The 2022 and 2023 seasons were no exception as he catapulted himself with two more extraordinary years during which he led Japan to the World Baseball Classic.
Currently, even with the news that he will not be able to pitch for the 2024 season due to his torn ACL, he is the most coveted player in the MLB, which still make him the highest paid player in MLB history.
